  • You'll be creating something bigger than yourself.
  • You'll learn how the promises in the Bible can keep you free of addiction and at peace for the rest of your life.

WHY DO WE CALL RECOVERY ROOM 7 A 'PEER-TO-PEER' RECOVERY SUPPORT SYSTEM?

Peer-to-Peer means people in recovery from drug and alcohol addictions helping one another.  A 'peer' is someone who has had the experience of addiction and recovery  themselves,  a family member who has had a loved one in an addiction, or concerned other.

WHAT DO WE DO?

  • We will be doing peer-led activities like  sober social events, non-12 step Bible based groups for those who wish to participate, leadership training, speakers, providing important resources to you for personal growth, organic gardening therapy, social book reading for those who like to read and talk about books, a writing club for those of you who like to write, Christian music, Talent shows,  inspirational Bible studies that are non-denominational with a born again message,  and peer mentoring.
  • We are a volunteer program where people in recovery have the opportunity to plan,  find hope and purpose, create, invent, and make things happen.  It will be extraordinary!

WHAT WE ARE NOT

We are not treatment, or a clinical medical model, we do not provide conventional therapy or medications, and we are not twelve step.  While we are not these things,  we do acknowledge that some of these elements may be needed or even  crucial by some during their recovery period from addiction to total healing. We recognize that people exist in the complex context of their lives and choices, and that, in the right conditions and with the proper teachings, people can and do recover.

WHO DO WE SERVE?

We serve our local communities in Northwest Montana from Sanders County, Lake County, Flathead County, Missoula County, & Mineral County.  Of course, anyone from anywhere is always welcome, so if you happen to be passing through, please stop in.  While we will begin as one center for 5 counties, our 5 to 7 year goal is to have a minimum of one center for each county.

WHAT'S THE STORY WITH YOUR NAME?

Recovery Room is obvious and needs no explanation; however, we will explain why the number '7' in the name.

7 (Seven)  is the number of completeness and perfection (both physical and spiritual) in the Bible.  We know that you can be physically and spiritually healed by being a born again believer and following Jesus Christ.   So, the number 7 has a deep and profound meaning in that it is a constant and ongoing reminder that  you can be healed of addiction.
