It Ends Here… It Ends With Me

There comes a moment in your life, as you battle with addiction, when your excuses grow silent, the blame runs out, and the weight of making a choice presses heavy on your heart. That moment is a holy epiphany… your wake up call. That moment begins spiritual warfare… a war that needs to be fought in the spirit realm. It’s in that holy moment that you must declare, “It ends here. It ends with me.” It’s not because you’ve finally mustered enough human strength, but because you have decided to finally surrender and submit to a our God who is in the business to break each and every chain that binds you.
Addiction is not a disease we have to nurse. Addiction is a form of slavery, and Jesus didn’t die so that you can stay chained. He died to set captives free. “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36, NKJV). That’s not a coping strategy. That’s an absolute promise.
The world might say you’re powerless, that you’ll always be in recovery, always an addict. But that’s not what God says. His Word tells you, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17, NKJV). That means the old cycle, the old habits, the old identity all die at the cross.
This is far deeper than a personal decision. This is spiritual warfare. This is about generations. The curse stops here. The dysfunction, the shame, the running… it ends with me. I will not pass this on. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4, NKJV). I’m not fighting with my own willpower! My willpower can’t do anything. I’m fighting with truth, prayer, and the Word of God.
I will not be a slave to the same sins that ruled my father or mother. I will not bow to substances when I have access to the throne of grace. I choose to believe what God says about me: “Sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace” (Romans 6:14, NKJV). By His grace, I will walk in holiness, not shame. I will choose obedience by submission and surrender to our Holy God, not numbness. I will pick up my cross and follow Jesus, even when it’s hard. TRUST JESUS BECAUSE YOU CAN!
This is where your agony ends and your healing begins. This is where I stop running and start rebuilding. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2, NKJV). I will renew my mind with Scripture. I will renew my heart with worship. I will renew my life with obedience, submission, and total surrender to Jesus Christ.
I am not too far gone. I am not too broken. It’s not too late for me. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11, NKJV). Your future starts now… not tomorrow… not after one more fall. NOW!

Prayer
Abba Father,
Thank You for Jesus’ blood that breaks every one of my chains. I no longer belong to my past. I don’t belong to addiction. I don’t belong to shame. I belong only to You. Today I declare: it ends here, right now. The old patterns, the generational cycles, the lies of the enemy… they stop now. Give me strength to walk in Your truth, to stay rooted in Your Word, and to build a legacy of freedom. I trust that You’re not finished with me yet. I am a Your work in progress until the day I go to be with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Freedom Declaration
I am no longer bound. I am no longer broken. I am no longer who I used to be. I am a new creation in Christ. The curse ends here. The cycle ends here. By the power of Jesus Christ… it ends with me. Oversee my care of medical detox that I have to arrange for today, to get these substances out of my body and return to You for the rest of my spiritual and physical healing.
It ends here… it ends now… it ends with me. And by the blood of Jesus, it ends forever.
Have a blessed rest of your day! Begin NOW!
